BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College cross country teams performed well at the 2025 Maine State Championship meet hosted at the Pickard Field Cross Country Course on Saturday. The women won the state crown for the first time since 2007 while the men finished third overall with Seamus McDonough taking first place individually.
 
Women's Meet Highlights

• The Polar Bears took first in the meet for the first time since 2007, placing five finishers in the top 12 to claim the crown.
• Bowdoin (35 points) edged out Maine (44) and Bates (51) in a tight race for the title in the 6k race.
• Angelina Hickey (22:06.22), Laura White (22:06.53), and Kaylee Hale (22:15.78) finished in 4^th-6^th place for the Polar Bears.
• Cam Meyer (22:27.70) was eighth while Tori Bacall (22:45.79) placed 12^th to round out the Bowdoin scorers.

Men's Meet Highlights

• The Polar Bears ended in third place, finishing with a total of 66 points, finishing behind Bates (28) and Maine (48).
• Seamus McDonough led the way for the Polar Bears, winning the individual title in the 8k race in a time of 25:46.75.
• Ashton Dunlap (26:32.26) was ninth, followed by Will Downs (26:40.27) in 15^th.
• Ryan Boulanger (26:46.44) and Elliot Fontaine (26:48.68) rounded out the top five for Bowdoin in 20^th-21^st place, respectively.
