Women's Cross Country Caps Successful Season at NCAA Championships

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Bowdoin College women's cross country team capped an historic fall campaign by competing at the NCAA Division III Championships Saturday in South Carolina. The Polar Bears finished in 28th spot as a team in the 32-team field after qualifying for the championship for the first time since 2007.
 
Meet Highlights
  • Seeded 31st coming into the championships, the Polar Bears vaulted to 28th spot, totaling 611 team points.
  • Laura White was Bowdoin's top individual finisher in 66th place, moving up 40 spots over the final 4k to finish in a time of 22:27.6.
  • Angelina Hickey ended in 141st spot in 23:07.1 followed by Cam Meyer in 190th in 23:24.2.
  • Andrea Becker (23:33.2) and Kaylee Hale (24:01.1) also scored for the Polar Bears while Tori Bacall (24:48.5), and Leta Griffith (24:56.4) rounded out Bowdoin's participants.
