  • Bowdoin's defense is its hallmark this year as the Polar Bears posted the best GAA in the NESCAC this season at 8.88 with goaltender Robert Hobbs pacing the conference with an 8.64 GAA while long-stick defenseman Jed Hoggard was named the NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year.
  • Patrick Fitzgerald was one of four First Team All-NESCAC selections for the Polar Bears, leading the league with 65 goals on the year while ranking fifth nationally with 4.06 goals per game. Casey Ryan, a fellow First Team pick, dished out 49 assists and contributed with 22 goals on the season.
  • Jack Pyne and Hoggard, fellow First Team honorees, helped limit Bowdoin's opponents to a NESCAC-low 133 goals on the season. Hoggard contributed with 63 ground balls and 28 caused turnovers while Pyne caused 11 turnovers on the year to go along with 26 ground balls.
  • Jason Lach and Chris Berry were named Second Team All-NESCAC performers. Lach, the program's all-time leading goal scorer, has produced 195 career goals with 34 of those tallies coming in 2025. Berry scored 28 goals with 10 assists for 38 points (28-10=38).
  • Mason and the Bowdoin coaching staff of Donal Mullane, Tom McCabe, and Steve Gilbert guided the Polar Bears to a 12-2 record in the regular season and a NESCAC semifinals appearance. The two-time NESCAC Coach of the Year has produced a 56-16 (.778) record through his first four years at Bowdoin.
BOWDOIN AGAINST REGIONAL OPPONENTS
  • Rivier – Bowdoin has never faced Rivier and the Raiders will be playing their first-ever game against a NESCAC opponent
  • Endicott – Bowdoin and Endicott have played regularly in the last 20 years with Bowdoin owning an 11-6 edge in 17 meetings dating back to 2006. The Polar Bears have won six of the last seven games, including a 17-10 win earlier this season.
  • Amherst – a conference opponent, is one of Bowdoin's longest-running rivalries, playing 61 times dating back to 1970. The teams have split the last six meetings, with Amherst taking the regular season game this year, handing Bowdoin its worst loss of the season (four goals) 12-8 on March 23.
