BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin sophomore
Grace Kinum (New Providence, N.J.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
In wins over Bates and Colby, Kinum stuffed the stat sheet, averaging 17.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 blocks. In a double-overtime win at Bates, the guard scored a career high 26 points with 10 rebounds and four steals. In a defensive battle versus Colby, the sophomore finished with nine points, 10 rebounds, six assists, three blocks, and three steals.
It is the first Player of the Week honor of Kinum's career. The Polar Bears, currently ranked sixth in the latest Division III poll, closed out their first semester with a 7-0 record.
