HARTFORD, Conn. – The Bowdoin College women's basketball team cruised to a 62-48 win at the University of Hartford on Tuesday evening. The Polar Bears close out their first semester with a 7-0 ranking and number six ranking in the latest Division III poll.
 
Game Highlights

• After a tightly-played first quarter, Bowdoin was able to extend their lead to eight before halftime thanks to a pair of Carly Davey three-pointers.
• Leading 32-26 at halftime, the Polar Bears took control with a 10-0 run out of the break, sparked by another Davey three-pointer and five straight points from Grace Kinum.
• Bowdoin led by 15 after three quarters and extended their lead to as many as 21 points, never leading by less than 12 points over the final 17 minutes of the contest on their way to the win.

• Carly Davey went 5-5 from three-point range and ended with a game-high 19 points and four assists.
• Grace Kinum scored 14 points, grabbed nine rebounds, with five assists and two steals.
• Maria Belardi added 11 points as Bowdoin finished at 43% shooting.
• The Polar Bears held Hartford to 34% from the field, owned a 38-24 edge in rebounding and scored 18 points off turnovers in the victory.

• Bowdoin's Friday game at Maine Maritime Academy has been postponed to February 3. The Polar Bears will return to action when they host the Coastal Classic on December 29-30 in Morrell Gymnasium.
