Russo Caps Outdoor Track & Field Season With First Team All-American Finish

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Bowdoin's Max Russo capped the 2024 Polar Bear track & field season with an All-American finish, taking fifth place in the men's 400 meter hurdles at the NCAA Division III Championship last weekend.

Russo qualified for the finals with a preliminary time of 52.58, the seventh-best time heading into finals. Following a lengthy weather delay, Russo went off in the finals late in the evening Saturday, and took fifth place overall in a time of 52.55 seconds to earn First Team All-American recognition.

It wrapped a successful weekend at the NCAA Championships for the Polar Bears, who also saw Charlotte Hodge (women's pole vault) and Kennedy Kirland (women's long jump) earn Second Team All-American honors.
