BRUNSWICK, Maine – Competing at the 2026 New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship, the Bowdoin College track & field teams delivered a strong showing with multiple top-eight finishes against the region's best.
The Polar Bear women finished with a team total of 23 points to place ninth in the deep regional field while the men's squad earned 14
th place with 17 points.
Women's Meet Highlights
- Kaylee Hale led the way on the track, earning All-New England honors with a runner-up finish in the 1000 meters. Hale crossed the line in 2:55.74 to claim second place.
- Laura White added another scoring performance in the mile, placing fourth in 4:58.21. In the sprints, Catherine Uwakwe turned in a seventh-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles final, clocking 8.18 seconds.
- Bowdoin also scored in relay action, as the 4x800-meter relay team of Emma Randall-Jarrard, Audrey Stevens, Laura White, and Kaylee Hale combined for a seventh-place finish in 9:30.25.
- In the field events, Kennedy Kirkland secured fourth place in the long jump with a leap of 5.56 meters (18'3"), while Sonia Katahdin added an eighth-place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 14.84 meters (48'8.25").
Men's Meet Highlights
- Senior Kane Demers delivered one of the Polar Bears' top results of the meet, soaring 6.99 meters (22'11.25") to earn second place in the long jump against a competitive regional field. Demers also scored on the track, finishing sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.47 seconds.
- Joseph Phillips added another scoring effort in the same event, crossing the line in 8.31 seconds to place seventh.
- In the throws, junior Charlie Aucoin contributed by taking seventh place in the shot put, recording a mark of 14.64 meters (48'0.5")
