Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAMPA, Fla. – The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team rolled to a pair of non-conference wins in Florida on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, improving to 3-1 on the season. The Polar Bears defeated Western New England 19-7 on Tuesday afternoon before dispatching Nazareth 18-8 on Wednesday.
 
Western New England Highlights

• After a tightly-played first quarter, Bowdoin outscored the Golden Bears 8-1 in the second quarter to pull away.
• The Polar Bears rolled off six straight goals before halftime, breaking open a 5-3 advantage into 11-3 at intermission.
• Bowdoin proceeded to score the first four goals of the third quarter to put the contest out of reach.

• On Wednesday, the Polar Bears used a big second half to run away from the Golden Flyers of Nazareth in an 18-8 victory.
• Bowdoin led 7-5 at the break scored the first three goals of the second half to push their lead to 10-5.
• After Nazareth trimmed the lead to 11-8 early in the fourth quarter, Bowdoin put the contest away with a decisive 7-0 game-ending run.
• Patrick Fitzgerald spearheaded the offense with four goals and three assists while Will Byrne added four scores.
• Jason Lach had a goal and three assists while Ethan Barnard won 23 of 28 faceoffs.
• Defensively, Nate Ryan had two caused turnovers and three ground balls while Robert Hobbs made 12 saves before giving way to Jake Phillips in the final five minutes, stopping one shot.
