BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's golf team posted three sub-300 team rounds to earn its best finish of the fall, tying for fourth place at the Bowdoin Invitational this weekend at Brunswick Golf Club. The Polar Bears shot rounds of 297, 298 and 298 for a 54-hole total of 893. Their 29-over score matched Trinity for fourth in the 16-team field, five strokes behind third-place Tufts. NYU won with an 880, followed by Middlebury at 886.
Weekend Highlights
- Kaiden Hong led Bowdoin, tying for fourth individually at 217 (70-74-73). His opening 70 was the Polar Bears' lowest round of the weekend.
- Andrew Flynn tied for 12th at 220 (74-74-72), closing with Bowdoin's best score on Sunday.
- Gavin Russell, competing as an individual, tied for 19th at 222 (75-71-76). His second-round 71 matched Varun Murthy for Bowdoin's second-lowest individual round of the tournament.
- Murthy tied for 32nd at 226 (77-71-78). Adam Eskin tied for 60th at 234 (76-79-79), and Joey Zheng tied for 64th at 235 (80-80-75).
- Other top showings for Bowdoin included Matthew Cohen placing 59th at 233 (76-79-78), while Jack Mazur tied for 67th at 236 (73-76-87).
