WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Bowdoin College men's golf team finished 13th in a strong 17-team field at the Williams Fall Invitational, a 54-hole event hosted at Taconic Golf Club.
One of the premier Division III events of the fall season, the tournament featured a deep field from across the Northeast and beyond. Bowdoin posted rounds of 305, 309 and 314 for a three-round total of 928. Pomona-Pitzer won the team title at 877, followed by Trinity (888), Babson (890) and Amherst (891).
Weekend Highlights
- Andrew Flynn and Kaiden Hong led the Polar Bears, tying for 28th overall with matching 54-hole totals of 229. Flynn carded rounds of 72-74-83, while Hong improved each round, shooting 78-78-73. - Flynn's opening-round 72 was Bowdoin's lowest score of the weekend, while Hong matched the team's best final-round score with a 73.
- Joey Zheng tied for 43rd at 232, posting rounds of 77-76-79.
- Ian Harris finished tied for 65th at 238 following rounds of 78-81-79.
- Gavin Russell rounded out the Bowdoin lineup with rounds of 83-81-86 for a 250 total.
- Competing as an individual, Varun Murthy tied for 59th overall at 236, shooting 78-76-82.
- Bowdoin's 928 team total came on rounds of 305, 309 and 314, placing the Polar Bears 13th overall.
