BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and will host a regional this weekend at Whittier Field, May 9-10.
The Polar Bears (16-1) finished the year ranked second in the Division III NPI rankings and have qualified for the NCAA Tournament in four of the last five years under the direction of head coach
Bill Mason, reaching the semifinals in each of the last two seasons. It will be the sixth appearance overall for the Polar Bears.
Bowdoin received a first-round bye and will face the winner of Scranton or SUNY Maritime in a second-round game Saturday at Whittier Field. The other second round game at Bowdoin on Saturday will be Stevens and Amherst. Saturday's winners will advance to Sunday's third round game at Whittier Field.
