The second-seeded Polar Bears will play the top-seeded Cardinals at 11:00 a.m. Sunday on the campus of Middlebury College for the NESCAC crown. It is Bowdoin's first-ever appearance in the conference title match, which they earned thanks to an impressive 4-0 win over Middlebury on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bears did finish as runners-up at NESCACs in 2004 (flighted championship) but that was prior to the institution of the bracketed team championship that began in 2006. Bowdoin will be looking for a measure of revenge after falling to Wesleyan in the regular season meeting, 5-2, back on April 12.
