Track & Field Posts Strong Results at Gordon and Bryant

WENHAM, Mass. – The Bowdoin College track & field teams enjoyed a busy weekend of action at Bryant's Jaylin Rainford Invitational and Gordon's Jonathan Tymann Invitational.
 
Women's Highlights
  • Mardy Novak won two events for the Polar Bears, claiming the shot put (10.58m) and javelin (37.01m) at Gordon.
  • Also at Gordon, Caitlin Heus-Smith won the triple jump (10.82m) and Sophie Maguire finished second in the pole vault (3.05m)
  • At Bryant Kaylee Hale paced the Polar Bears, taking third place in the 800m event in a time of 2:16.92.
Men's Highlights
  • Charlie Aucoin won the men's discus (47.25m) and hammer throw (45.63m) for Bowdoin, leading the way for the Polar Bears at Gordon.
  • Also at Gordon Oliver Neuenschwander took first in the pole vault at a height of 4.15m.
  • At Bryant, Kane Demers claimed the 110 hurdles (15.08) and the triple jump (13.14m) to pace the Bowdoin performers.
Up Next
  • Select Polar Bear athletes will travel to Atlanta, Ga., next weekend to compete at the Emory University Invitational on April 3-4, while other Polar Bear competitors will head to Orono to compete at the Black Bear Invitational.
