SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Bowdoin College outdoor track & field teams sent a group of athletes to the New England Division III Championships at Springfield College this weekend, and came away with several top performances to collect numerous All-New England honors.
 
Men's Meet Highlights

• Leading the way for the Polar Bears was the first-place finish by the 4x100 team, who bettered their school record time with a 41.07 courtesy of Noah Rockey, Lorenzo Shields, Ronan O'Flaherty, and Kane Demers to win the New England Championship.
• O'Flaherty posted a second-place finish in the 400m (48.57), Lorenzo Shields was third in the 200m (22.24), and Kane Demers was third in the 110 hurdles (14.71), all collecting All-Region recognition.
• Demers also posted a second-place finish in the long jump (7.08m) with Charlie Aucoin placing second in the discus (49.26m) to collect All-New England.
• The Polar Bears finished with 50 points, the fourth-most in the meet, trailing only WPI, UMass Dartmouth, and Wesleyan.

Women's Meet Highlights

• A smaller crew went from the women's team, but a trio of Polar Bears earned All-Region honors.
• Sophie Maguire was sixth in the pole vault (3.31m) and Anna Yang took seventh in the long jump (5.56m).
• Kennedy Kirkland was seventh in the 200m race in a time of 25.51.
