LACROSSE, Wis. – Three members of the Bowdoin track and field teams earned All-American status at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships last weekend in Wisconsin.
Charlie Aucoin (men's discus),
Kennedy Kirkland (women's long jump), and
Mardy Novak (women's javelin) all achieved Second Team All-American honors for their performances.
Aucoin, who entered nationals seeded 22
nd in the country, posted a mark of 48.15 on his second of three throws in the first round, just missing out on advancing to the final rounds but finishing in 16
th place overall to earn All-American recognition.
Kirkland cleared 5.60 meters in her opening jump and just missed out on advancing further by a mere 5 inches out of the initial three rounds. Her distance finished 15
th in the country to also reach All-American status.
Mardy Novak was seeded 11
th entering the javelin competition and advanced out of the preliminary rounds, throwing six times. Her third throw was her best, going 42.49 meters to place ninth and net All-American recognition.
