BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Bowdoin's
Kennedy Kirkland placed 13
th overall, earning Second Team All-American honors in the women's long jump at the NCAA Division III Championships Friday in Birmingham, Alabama.
Kirkland cleared a distance of 5.47 meters (17-11 ¾) on her third jump to earn 13
th place, four spots higher than her seeding entering nationals. She repeated as an All-American, following her sixth-place showing last winter and replicating her accomplishment as Bowdoin's first women's long jump All-American.
