Women’s Golf Breaks Program Records, Takes Eighth at Savannah Invitational

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Bowdoin women's golf team delivered a record-setting performance at last weekend's Savannah Invitational at The Club at Savannah Harbor, setting new program bests for 18-hole and 36-hole team scoring while finishing eighth in a loaded field.
 
Weekend Highlights

  • The Polar Bears posted a program-best two-round total of +23, highlighted by a strong move on day two—improving from +14 in the opening round to school-record +9 in round two to close the tournament.
  • Bowdoin was led individually by Katie Ng, who tied for 14th at +1 with rounds of 71-74. Emily Renoff added another top-25 finish, tying for 24th at +4 (73-75).
  • Shivani Schmulen finished T52 at +10 (78-76), while Emilia Rose tied for 55th at +11 (83-72) and Isabella Salerno tied for 68th at +14 (80-78) while Hailey Ryan tied for 72nd at +15 (76-83).
  • At the top of the team standings, Carnegie Mellon [A] won the event at -24, while Washington University in St. Louis and Emory tied for second at +4 in a field that included 18 teams ranked in the top-50 in Division III.
