MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Bowdoin College women's golf team put an exclamation point on its fall season with a commanding victory at the Wesleyan Invitational this weekend.
The 12th-ranked Polar Bears posted rounds of 298 and 303 for a two-day total of 601, finishing 10 strokes clear of eighth-ranked Williams to earn the program's first tournament victory since winning the Wellesley Invitational in the spring of 2023. Bowdoin topped a loaded field that included five other nationally-ranked teams, including three ranked in the top 10.
Tournament Highlights
- Bowdoin grabbed the lead with an opening-round 298 on Saturday, two strokes ahead of host Wesleyan, and followed with a 303 on Sunday to finish at 601.
- The Polar Bears finished 10 strokes ahead of No. 8 Williams (611), while No. 17 Wesleyan (615), No. 7 Amherst (618) and No. 5 Middlebury (626) rounded out the top five. No. 14 Wellesley placed sixth at 632.
- Bowdoin defeated all five of the other nationally-ranked teams in the field, including three top-10 opponents.
- Katie Ng led the way for Bowdoin, firing rounds of 72 and 74 to finish at five-over par (146) and take second place overall. Ng finished six strokes behind individual medalist Zorah Williams of Trinity, who finished at one-under 140.
- Emily Renoff gave Bowdoin a second top-three finisher, carding rounds of 74 and 75 to finish tied for third at eight-over 149.
- Allison Le improved by a stroke on Sunday, shooting 77-76 to finish tied for 10th at 12-over 153.
- Hailey Lim joined her teammates near the top of the leaderboard, finishing tied for 14th at 14-over 155 following rounds of 75 and 80.
- Isabella Salerno closed with a 78 on Sunday after an opening 80 to finish tied for 20th at 17-over 158.
- Bowdoin placed three golfers among the top 10, four among the top 14 and all five competitors among the top 20 in the 60-player field.

- The Wesleyan Invitational concludes the fall portion of Bowdoin's 2026-27 schedule. The Polar Bears will return to competition for their spring championship season in 2027. The complete spring schedule will be posted soon, but the NESCAC Women's Golf Championship is slated for April 30-May 2 and will be hosted by Trinity College.
