Eskin’s School-Record 66 Powers Men's Golf to Fourth-Place Finish at Spring Opener

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. - The Bowdoin College men's golf team placed fourth out of 12 teams with a three-round total of +25 (+6, +8, +11), opening their spring campaign at the Fernandina Beach Collegiate Invitational last weekend.
 
Weekend Highlights
  • Bowdoin finished just one shot ahead of Covenant (+26) and posted a top-four result behind Shenandoah (-6), Transylvania (-5), and Swarthmore (-3).
  • Bowdoin was paced by Adam Eskin, who tied for eighth at +2 for the tournament. Eskin's weekend was highlighted by a school-record 66 in round two (six-under), the lowest round relative to par in program history, as he carded rounds of 75-66-77.
  • Three other Polar Bears finished inside the top 25. Andrew Flynn tied for 15th at +6 (74-75-73), while Matthew Cohen placed 22nd at +9 (76-72-77). Joey Zheng tied for 24th at +11 (77-76-74), matching Henry Mariscal, who also tied for 24th at +11 (69-80-78).
  • Rounding out Bowdoin's finishers, Kaiden Hong was 28th at +13 (75-73-81), and Michael Xiao tied for 32nd at +15 (79-77-75).

  • Bowdoin will return to action after spring break when they head to Connecticut for the Bantam/Hawks Invitational (Keney Park GC) on April 4-5.
