BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin first-year Meghan Britt (Arlington, Mass.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Hockey Player of the Week.
 
Britt helped the Polar Bears post a 2-0 weekend to remain unbeaten (10-0-0). The rookie scored two goals and added two assists, accounting for nearly all of Bowdoin's goals in a 5-3 win over Suffolk on Friday. On Saturday, Britt capped a furious third-period rally by Bowdoin, assisting on the game-winning goal in a four-goal rally in a 4-2 comeback victory over UMass Boston. Britt is second on the team with 11 points this season.
 
The Polar Bears will return to action Tuesday afternoon when they host Endicott at 4:00 p.m. in Watson Arena.
