Women's Hockey Suffers Sweep Against Trinity

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin suffered a series sweep against Trinity to open conference play in the second semester after Saturday's 3-1 setback.
 
The Polar Bears slip to 9-4-0 (3-3-0 NESCAC). The Bantams climb to 6-6-0 (2-4-0 NESCAC).

Game Highlights
  • Trinity scored at 3:03 in the first to take a 1-0 lead. Georgia Bussey put a shot on pads and Meena Al-Kadiri put away the rebound on a low angle shot.
  • The Bantams made it 2-0 seven minutes into the third. Caroline Holm collected the puck behind the Trinity net and banked a pass off the boards up to Gabriela Gross. Gross skated unimpeded into the Bowdoin zone and put a shot five-hole.
  • Bowdoin broke through on a power play three minutes later. Sara Ito-Bagshaw crossed a pass low on the right to the crease. Meghan Britt tipped the puck and Bella Schifano finished on the far side.
  • Trinity added an empty net goal on a last minute power play to ice the game in the final seconds.
