GORHAM, Maine – After finishing as runners-up the last two years, the Bowdoin College men's track and field team won its first outright Maine State Indoor Track & Field Championship since 2018 with an impressive showing on Saturday at the University of Southern Maine.
Bowdoin finished with 227 team points to defeat second-place Bates by 27 points in an eight-team field.
Kane Demers dominated the meet for the Polar Bears, winning the 200m, placing second in the 55m hurdles, and taking both the triple and long jumps to earn Track MVP of the meet honors.

- Demers was outstanding, sweeping the long jump (x) and the triple jump (x) while taking the 200m (x) and finishing second by a fraction of a second in the 55m hurdles (x), won by teammate Parker Beatty (x)
- The Polar Bears crushed the mid and long-distance races at the championship as Max Russo set a new state meet and facility recording a win in the 600m (x) Brooks Peters won the 1000m (x), Sam Angevine claimed the 3000m (x), Wil Goddard in the mile (x) and Ben Bockmann in the 5k (x).
