Meet Highlights
  • Kane Demers earned a New England championship in the long jump, clearing a distance of 7.02 meters in his fifth round to win the title. It's the first individual men's New England title for the Polar Bears since 2022, when Ajay Olson (60m) and Cheng Xing (long jump) earned first-place finishes.
  • On Friday, Dov Mcguire-Berk dramatically improved his career-best (2nd all-time at Bowdoin) and placed 4th despite being seeded 7th with 4,339 points in the heptathlon.
  • On the track, Parker Beatty had a strong run in prelims and then broke the school record (formerly 8.21 by Joe Staudt) with his 8.18 to place 5th overall in the 60 hurdles.
  • In the 5k, Sam Angevine ran large season's best to place 7th in 14:49.99 while Oliver Brandes posted a time of 1:54.05  in the 800 meters to take 7th, and improve to 5th all-time in the event in the Bowdoin record books.
  • The 4x800 team of Brooks Peters, Aidan Singer, Adam O'Connor, and Brandes dropped almost eight seconds from their winning mark at the state meet to place third in a dramatic finish.
  • Nick Sibiryakov moved into second place in the Bowdoin record books with a height of 4.69 meters in the pole vault, taking fourth place.
  • Bowdoin finished with 33 team points to finish in a tie with WPI at the championship.
