Men's Track & Field Has Multiple Winners at Coffey Invitational

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Bowdoin College men's outdoor track and field team placed fourth at the Carla Coffey Invitational hosted by Smith College last weekend.
 
Meet Highlights
  • In a NESCAC-heavy meet, the Polar Bears finished with 135.5 points, trailing only Tufts (165), Amherst (153), and Middlebury (144.5).
  • Ajay Olson placed first in the 200m (21.75) and second in the 100m (10.94) for the Polar Bears.
  • Lars Sorom picked up a win in the 800m (1:51.25) while Brooks Peters won the 1500m (3:59.53).
  • Justin Whitney picked up a win for the Polar Bears in the triple jump, reaching a distance of 13.04 meters.
  • Runner-up finishes included Sam Angevine in the 5000m (14:54.64), Dom Acquista in the shot put (13.65m), as well as Bowdoin's 4x100 relay of Nicolas Chu DeChristofa, Kane Demers, Justin Whitney, and Cheng Xing (44.31).
