CLINTON, N.Y. – Propelled by a first-place finish from Ryan Durkin, the Bowdoin College men's outdoor track & field team earned a fifth-place finish at the 2022 New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship meet on Saturday hosted by Hamilton College.
 
Meet Highlights

• The Polar Bears placed fifth overall with 76 total points, trailing only Tufts, Williams, Middlebury and Amherst and improving on their sixth-place showing from the 2019 championship.
• Ryan Durkin led the way for Bowdoin, tying for first place and sharing the NESCAC title with a height of 4.75m (15-0.70).
• Other top finishes included Ajay Olson placing second in the 100m (10.85) while Max Russo was runner-up in the 400m hurdles (54.61). Cheng Xing was the second-place finisher in the long jump (7.15m) and took fifth in the triple jump (13.80m).
• Carl Williams was third in the javelin (47.11m), William Warlick placed fourth in the 100m hurdles (15.32), and Nick Sibiryakov was fifth in the pole vault (4.45m) to round out Bowdoin's top-five finishers at the meet.
