LEWISTON, Maine – Bowdoin's Ajay Olson broke his own school record in the 100m dash and was named Performer of the Meet at the Maine State Classic hosted last weekend at Bates College. The men's track & field team placed third overall at the meet in their final tune-up prior to the NESCAC Championship.
 
Meet Highlights

• Olson won the 100m in a time of 10.64, breaking his own school mark and winning the race by nearly a half-second.
• William Warlick won the 100m hurdles in 14.94 in a career-best performance while also placing third in the 400m hurdles finals (57.89).
• Cheng Xing won the triple jump with a distance of 13.55 meters, while Ryan Durkin was tied for second in the pole vault at 4.45 meters.  
• Eli Franklin placed second in the 800m in a career-best time of 1:55.99 while Will Goddard also took second overall in a career-best time of 4:00.37 in the 1500m finals.
