MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Middlebury College men's lacrosse team used a five-goal run in the second quarter to erase an early deficit and defeat Bwodoin 14-9 on Saturday.

The Panthers move to 3-3 (2-2 NESCAC) while the Polar Bears fall to 4-3 (2-2 NESCAC).

Game Highlights

• Bowdoin led 2-1 after one quarter and extended their lead to 4-1 following goals from Jeff Powers and Sam Langan early in the second frame.
• The Panthers rolled off five straight games, from five different scorers, in a span of 2:04 to stun the Polar Bears and take a 6-4 advantage.
• Bowdoin stopped the run with a goal from Jake Crossman, cutting the lead to 6-5, at intermission.
• The Panthers took firm control of the game with four goals to open the third quarter, pushing the lead to 10-5.
• Bowdoin could get no closer than four goals for the remainder of the contest.
