Men's Lacrosse Drops Non-Conference Game To St. Lawrence

ST. LEO, Fla. – The St. Lawrence men's lacrosse team jumped to an early lead and held off Bowdoin, 13-5, on Tuesday afternoon in Florida.

The 20th-ranked Saints improve to 5-0 while the Polar Bears fall to 4-2 this season.

Game Highlights

  • Bowdoin scored the first goal of the game, just 22 seconds into the contest, off the stick of Chris Fowler.
  • The Saints took the lead with goals just 41 seconds apart later in the quarter and held a 3-1 edge after the first period.
  • Will Murtagh closed the gap to 3-2 to open the second quarter, but St. Lawrence rolled off four straight tallies to take an 7-2 edge. A Sam Langan goal trimmed the lead to 7-3 at halftime.
  • The Saints put the game out of reach with five more goals in the third quarter.
