Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's lacrosse team picked up a 12-10 NESCAC victory over visiting Hamilton on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears improve to 4-1 (2-1 NESCAC), while the Continentals drop to 2-2 (1-2 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- Hamilton took the lead with a pair of goals in the first five minutes of action. The Polar Bears responded with the final two tallies of the quarter, including a shot from Will Murtagh in the last 40 seconds.
- The Continentals came out in the opening minutes of the second and scored a man-up goal from Clay McCollum. Bowdoin responded with a three goal surge to take its first lead of the game, sparked by a pair from Chris Fowler.
- Zach Larsen scored midway through the quarter as the Continentals closed out the first half of action with four unanswered goals.
- Trailing 7-5, Bowdoin stormed back with four goals in the third quarter while keeping Hamilton off the board. Sam Langan and Fowler scored just 23 seconds apart to open the frame.
- Bowdoin rattled off two more quick goals in the final quarter for an 11-7 lead before Hamilton's Clay McCollum found the back of the net at 9:19. The Continentals scored three of the game's last four goals, but the Polar Bears held on for the win.
