BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's hockey team gave up a pair of third period goals in a 3-1 setback to Middlebury on Friday evening.

The Polar Bears are still in search of a conference victory and sit at 1-13-1 (0-7-0 NESCAC). The seventh-ranked Panthers remain perfect in the NESCAC (9-1-3, 5-0-2 NESCAC)

Game Highlights

• The teams entered the first intermission tied 0-0, and the Panthers took the game's first lead 4:52 into the second frame. Katie Hargrave collected the puck in the right corner of the Bowdoin zone and passed up along the boards to Anna Zumwinkle. Zumwinkle fired a shot from the right point and Ellie Barney deflected the puck as if flew past for a 1-0 lead.
• Bowdoin tied the game at 12:21 off a solo effort from Angelina Joyce. Joyce picked off a pass between two Middlebury players just inside the Bowdoin blue line and skated the length of the ice towards Lin Han. Joyce fired a shot off Han's body and collected the rebound in the left corner and circled back. The first-year fired a low angle shot past Han to even the game.
• The Panthers came out and regained the lead 1:58 into the final frame. Morgan Griffin collected a deflected Bowdoin pass in the Polar Bear zone and turned around for a quick shot on net. Griffin wristed a shot that bounced off Kerri St. Denis's glove and into the net.
• Zumwinkle slipped a pass to Kiara Vazquez on the right point to set up the Panthers third goal. Vazquez teed up a shot, which St. Denis turned away, but Jenna Letterie put the rebound away midway through the third.
