LEWISTON, Maine - Bowdoin edged Bates for the team title for the second straight year Saturday as the 119th Maine State Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships concluded at Bates' Russell Street Track.
The Polar Bears scored 224 points in winning the meet for the 40th time in team history.

Meet Highlights
- Bowdoin sprinter Yaw Sekyere won the Alan G. Hillman Memorial Most Valuable Track Athlete Award after capturing first place in the 100-meter dash (10.79 seconds), the 200 meters (21.96) and anchoring the Polar Bears' winning 4x100 relay (42.97) along with John Dana, Owen Tuck and Latif Armiyaw.
- Other track victors for Bowdoin included Ben Torda in the 3000M steeplechase (9:27.29), Joseph Staudt in the 110M hurdles (14.81), Conor Donahue in the 800M (1:55.03) and Alan Banks in the 400M hurdles (56.68).
- The Polar Bears also won the 4x400M relay courtesy of Stevie Upton, Donahue, Liam Nicoll and John Kennealy.
- In the field events, Brian Greenberg claimed the state crown in the long jump (6.95m) and John Pietro won the shot put (15.09).
