DAVENPORT, Fla. - The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team scored 11 first half goals en route to a dominating 13-5 win over Hamilton on Saturday afternoon in Florida.

The Polar Bears move to 2-2 (1-2 NESCAC) with the win while the Continentals fall to 1-4 (0-3  NESCAC).

Game Highlights

• Bowdoin took command of the game with an 11-2 opening half as the Polar Bears completely controlled the tempo.
• Daniel Buckman sparked a six-goal outburst for Bowdoin in the opening quarter, scoring twice including just eight seconds off the opening faceoff.
• Jimmy Young and Sam Langan also added two goals apiece in the opening half as the Polar Bears outscored Hamilton 5-1 in the second quarter to take a 11-2 lead at intermission.
• Hamilton peppered the Bowdoin net with 15 shots in the third quarter, but John Young made four saves and held the Continentals scoreless to help seal the win.

• Daniel Buckman (two goals, two assists) and Tim Bulens (two goals, one assist) led the Polar Bears in scoring.
• Jimmy Young, Matthew Crowell and Sam Langan had two goals each for Bowdoin.
• Shawn Daly and Sam Denious had two caused turnovers apiece while Sam Carlin won 13 of 16 faceoffs.
• John Young made seven saves, allowing two goals in 45 minutes before giving way to Jack O'Connor in the final quarter, who stopped three shots and allowed three goals.
• Bowdoin held a 44-34 edge in shots and committed just 12 turnovers in the win.
