CLINTON, N.Y.  – The Bowdoin women's hockey team spoiled a three game Continental win streak with a 2-1 showing on Friday night.

The Polar Bears (11-6-3, 6-4-2 NESCAC) extend their unbeaten streak to four. The tenth-ranked Continentals (11-6-2, 6-4-1 NESCAC) were coming off a pair of wins at Middlebury last weekend.

Game Highlights

• Bowdoin took an early lead 4:47 into the game. Brooke Solomon put the Polar Bears on the board with a wrister off a feed from Julie Dachille.
• Hamilton evened the game five minutes into the middle frame, converting on a power play opportunity. Caroline Knop took a shot that Sophia Lattanzio turned away, but the rebound kicked to Olivia Hawes for the equalizer.
• With 6:43 remaining in the game, Dachille notched her second game-winner of the season. Jess Bowen sent the puck from the point to Marissa Fichter in the slot, who found Dachille on the left post. Dachille's backhander found space for the 2-1 lead.
• The Polar Bears survived a six-on-four through the final 1:15 of play as the Continentals pulled their goalie and earned a power play on a Bowdoin penalty. Lattanzio turned away five shots during the final stretch to preserve the win.

By the Numbers

• Lattanzio made 37 saves in net to earn the win for Bowdoin.
• Sam Walther had 28 stops for the Continentals.
• Bowdoin went 1-for-3 on the power play.
• Hamilton was 1-for-5 with the extra skater.
