CLERMONT, Fla. - The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team used a 6-1 run in the second and third quarters to pull away from nationally-ranked Stevens 11-7 on Tuesday evening.

The Polar Bears rolled to their fourth consecutive victory and improve to 4-1 on the season while the 12th-ranked Ducks fall to 6-2, snapping their three-game winning streak.

Game Highlights

• The teams traded goals in the opening period as the first quarter ended in a 3-3 deadlock
• Stevens opened the second quarter with consecutive goals from Connor O'Shea to take their biggest lead of the game, 5-3, early in the frame
• Bowdoin began the game's decisive run with goals from Daniel Buckman and Brett Kujala to tie the score at five apiece
• Matthew Crowell scored with 2:48 before the break to give Bowdoin a 6-5 advantage at the break
• Bowdoin continued to roll in the third quarter, getting goals from Shawn Daly and JC Pardo to open up an 8-5 lead
• After Stevens answered with a goal to trim the lead to 8-6, Bowdoin answered with three straight goals to put the contest out of reach, capped by a Buckman goal that made it a 11-6 game with ten minutes to go
• Bowdoin goaltender Peter Mumford made the lead stand with seven saves in the fourth quarter to seal the contest
