Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season at Miami Hurricane Invitational

MIAMI, Fla. – The Bowdoin College outdoor track & field teams opened their spring season at the Hurricane Invitational this weekend.

The Polar Bears posted several top performances at the non-scoring meet which contained numerous Division I athletes.

Meet Highlights

  • Calvin Henry won the men's 1500 meters (4:04.19) by a three-second margin
  • Sarah Kelley claimed the win in the women's 1500 meters (4:40.94) by nearly two seconds
  • Bowdoin went 1-2 in the men's 800 meter race as Jacob Ellis (1:53.48) edged out Conor Donahue for the win
  • The Polar Bears also recorded fantastic showings in the javelin as Andrew Murowchick (54.98 meters) took second and Ellen Masalsky (37.41 meters) took third overall in their respective events
