CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bowdoin College men's indoor track team posted several impressive finishes to take an outstanding fourth-place finish at the New England Division III Championship hosted by MIT on Saturday.

The Polar Bears finished with 55 points overall to trail only nationally-ranked MIT (138), Williams (132) and Tufts (74).

Meet Highlights

• Conor Donahue came away with a New England championship, winning the 1000 meters in a time of 2:29.22, edging out the victory at the line
• Jacob Ellis took a runner-up finish in the 800 meters (1:53.23) while Matt Jacobson took third overall with a personal best in the 3000 meters (8:30.36)
• Brian Greenberg earned the top field finish for Bowdoin, recording a third-place showing in the triple jump (14.05 meters)
• John Pietro was fifth in the shot put, throwing a distance of 14.30 meters
• John Keneally posted a personal best to take a sixth-place finish in the 600 meters (1:22.42)
• Bowdoin's 4x800 squad of Christian Heath, James Sullivan, Donahue and Ellis, who took third in a time of 7:51.42 while the Distance Medley Relay team of Benjamin Torda, Sean McDonald, Andrew McGowan and Calvin Henry collected a third-place finish as well in 10:29.98
