BRUNSWICK, Maine – Maegan Sheehan scored less than a minute into overtime to complete the Bowdoin women's ice hockey team's 3-2 comeback win on Tuesday night against the University of Southern Maine.

The Polar Bears collected their first overtime victory of the season to improve to 5-5-0. The Huskies were unable to hold on to their early two goal lead and fall to 2-10-1.

Game Highlights

• USM got on the board 3:08 into the game off a goal by Katie Couture. Cassandra Sherman started the play with a centering pass to Couture in the slot for a redirect.
• Couture looked to extend the Huskies lead minutes later as her shot from low on the left side found the far post and slid back out across the goal face.
• Couture bested Sophia Lattanzio in the ninth minute burying a feed from a faceoff in the left circle.
• Bowdoin cut the Huskies lead in half 2:36 into the second period. Madeline Hall intercepted a breakout pass inside the USM blue line and circled back around on goal. Hall found Julie Dachille on the right post for the Polar Bears' first of the game.
• Miranda Bell dug the puck out from the left post and fed Marissa Fichter with just over five minutes remaining in the third period to tie the game at 2-2 and force overtime. Fichter beat Britney Evangelista with a short-handed close range shot.
• Sheehan's game-winner came on the power play, firing the puck on net from the right faceoff circle inside the far post.

• Bowdoin was 1-for-5 with the extra skater and tallied a game tying short-handed goal
