Bowdoin and Hamilton played a couple minutes of even strength back and forth before another Continental returned to the box, giving the Polar Bears a five-on-four advantage and quick power play goal. Only nine seconds in, Brigit Bergin slid a high cross-ice pass to Maddie Baird at the left point who fed Julie Dachille between the circles. Midway through the period Bowdoin went on the power play again, looking to regain the lead, but were unable to best Sam Walther and the Hamilton defense despite sustained pressure in the Continentals' zone.
