Men's Lacrosse Falls to 15th-Ranked Endicott

BEVERLY, Mass. - Harrison Cotter scored seven goals as the 15th-ranked Endicott men's lacrosse team defeated Bowdoin 18-10 on Saturday.

The 18 goals were a season-high allowed by the Polar Bears, who fall to 9-5 on the season. Endicott moves to 12-3 on the year with the victory.

In addition to Cotter, Nick Pinciaro had two goals and four assists for the Gulls. Bowdoin was led by two goals apiece from Dan Hanley and Will Wise. Brandon Lee had a goal and two assists in the loss.

Endicott used a 10-2 run from late in the first quarter to early in the third to pull away from the Polar Bears on Saturday. Tied at 3-3 late in the opening period, Sam Scoba gave Endicott the lead before the end of the quarter, and Cotter scored three times in the decisive run that pushed Endicott's advantage to 13-5 late in the third quarter. Bowdoin could get no closer than seven goals for the remainder of the game.

Cameron Bell made 12 saves in 54:10 in goal for Endicott. Connor Laughlin made nine saves and permitted 16 goals over 47:56 before giving way to Peter Mumford, who allowed two goals and made four stops in the final 12:04 for Bowdoin.

The Polar Bears will look to bounce back on Wednesday as they travel to Tufts for their regular-season finale at 7:00 p.m. A victory would secure a NESCAC home quarterfinal for Bowdoin.
