Track & Field Posts Top Finishes at UNH's Division I Invitational

DURHAM, N.H. - Members of the Bowdoin College men's track and field team attended a Division I invitational at UNH thon Saturday.

Although the meet was non-scoring for Division III teams, Polar Bear athletes benefitted from the high level competition, and posted some impressive performances, including three top times.

Bowdoin's Erin Silva had the best vault of the day, clearing 11-11.75. Coby Horowitz posted the fastest time of the day in the 1500, recording 3:53. Jacob Ellis ran the fastest 800 meter time of the day as he finished in 1:53.

Other top showings included Emily Clark, who ran 1:07.42, which gave her the second fastest 400 hurdle time of the day, while Katie Krupp leaped 36-08 in the triple jump, which was the second best performance in that event. Samantha Copland posted a personal best in the 100 meter dash of 12.54, which was the third-best time of the day.

This is the final non-scoring weekend for Bowdoin. The men will compete in the 116th Maine State meet next weekend at Colby. The women will be hosting the 26th annual Aloha Relays at Magee-Samuelson track at Whittier Field.
