Bowdoin's Jake Adicoff '18 Named to U.S. Paralympic Ski Team

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin alumni Jake Adicoff '18 has been selected for his fourth straight U.S. Paralympic Ski Team and will represent Team USA at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, scheduled to begin on March 6.

Adicoff, a Sun Valley, Idaho native, will be making his fourth appearance at the Paralympic Games. A four-time medalist (one gold, three silver), Adicoff will race in the men's visual impairment category with guides Peter Wolter and Reid Gobel.

Adicoff was first named to the U.S. Paralympic Nordic Skiing national team in the 2013-14 season and made his Paralympic debut at the Paralympic Winter Games Sochi 2014. Four years later, at the Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, he won silver in the men's 10km and then retired. In 2021, Adicoff returned from retirement and would win three medals, including gold, as part of the mixed 4x2.5 km relay team at the Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.

Since Beijing, Adicoff has won four world titles, including a sweep of the 10-kilometer classic and 20-kilometer freestyle at the 2025 World Championships, and now has 11 world medals.

Adicoff graduated from Bowdoin in 2018 with a degree in mathematics and computer science while also competing on the Polar Bears' nordic ski team.
