Crum Named First Team All-East As Nordic Concludes EISA Schedule

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Bowdoin Nordic ski team closed out the regular season with a fifth-place finish at the Middlebury Carnival that doubles as the EISA Championship.
 
Emma Crum was named First Team All-East at the conclusion of a wildly successful carnival season.
 
Carnival Highlights
  • Crum continued to pace the Polar Bears with a seventh-place finish on Friday in the individual start classic event.
  • Jordan Grialou finished 24th, closely followed by Mirra Payson (26th) and Gillian Fairfax (27th).
  • Lars Sorom was the top finisher on the men's side with a top-20 result. William Riley was close behind in 25th and Beckett Cote narrowly missed out on top-30, finishing 33rd.
  • Crum closed out the EISA slate on Saturday with a podium finish in the mass start freestyle.
  • Ruth Krebs was Bowdoin's second finisher in 22nd and Fairfax was 25th.
  • The men took 14th-17th. Oliver Swabey, Riley, Cote, and Sorom finished in a line with a narrow margin separating Swabey and Riley.

  • The NCAA Championship has been moved from Montana to Utah due to snow conditions. The Polar Bears will be sending Emma Crum, Gillian Fairfax, and Jordan Grialou to nationals on March 11-14.
