Coach Pizzo's Report - September 15
The Bowdoin sailing team competed in four events over the weekend, including a podium sweep at home in the Barnett Trophy.

The Barnett Trophy saw excellent Saturday racing conditions and completed eight races in each division. Bowdoin swept the top three spots out of 15 overall teams at the event.
Lucca Antonietti,
Maggie Tripp,
Ryan Keenan and
Caroline O'Hara competed for Bowdoin 1. Â
Shea McGrath,
Kique Ruiz,
Owen Warren,
Charlie Conover, and Lily Spartz competed for Bowdoin 2.
Noah Reischmann,
Eve Cintron,
Henry Ladd and
Lottie Pare made up Bowdoin 3.

The Polar Bears sent a group down to MIT for the Hatch Brown and came away with an 8
th place finish out of 18 teams.
Michelangelo Vecchio and
Elizabeth Wire competed in the A division.
Ethan Danielson and
Kate Lavallee competed in the B division.
Kyra Phelan and
Owen Benison competed in the C division with
Riley Donahue as an alternate.

Bowdoin had a stellar showing at the Regis Trophy where five races were completed in each division.
Lauren Russler and
Ava Tobias won the A division, while Mairéad Ritzel and Yasi Nee competed in the B division. The Polar Bears finished 3
rd overall out of 18.

Cole Amaral competed at the Open Singlehanded New England Championships hosted by Brown. Amaral ended up with a 22
nd place finish out of 31 competitors.
This upcoming weekend the Polar Bears will compete in the Match Race NE Champs at CGA, the Hood Trophy at Tufts, the Hoyt Trophy at Brown, and the Eagle Invite at BC.
