BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Abby Minott as an assistant coach for the track & field programs.
A 2023 graduate of the University of Maine-Farmington, Minott was named the 2023 North Atlantic Conference Woman of the Year, graduating as a President's List Scholar with a degree in Business Economics. While still a student at UMF, Minott got her coaching start as a volunteer coach for Noble High School in North Berwick before enrolling in graduate school at Springfield College.
At Springfield, Minott specialized in coaching the jumps, pole vault, and multi's, helping lead the Pride to 37 New England qualifying performances in jumping events, two NEWMAC champions, and a Second Team All-American in the triple jump over the course of two years. While coaching, Minott also completed her Master's Degree in Athletic Leadership.
Minott is a Bath, Maine native and graduate of Morse High School.
