Sailing Advances to Finals at Women's Fleet Race Nationals

The Bowdoin Women's Team competed in the Fleet Race National Semi Final Championship the past two days at the St. Mary's College of MD. Racing was limited on day one because of light and unstable breeze. Day two brought windy and rainy conditions but allowed for nine races to be completed in each division. The Polar Bears battled on day two and finished ninth overall in the Eastern Semi Finals and qualified for the Finals. The Women's team has qualified for the finals in all nine of their semifinal appearances. Kyra Phelan, Izzy Tsuchitori, and Holliss Hirsch competed in A-division with Lauren Russler, Kaile Olson, and Izzy Tsuchitori competed in B division. Maizie Bartlett, Mairead Ritzel, and Becca Schill were reserves.
