BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team earned three post-season accolades from the New England Small College Athletic Conference for the 2024-25 season.

Gia Massari was named a First-Team Selection and junior defender
Emma Merrill was tabbed a Second Team pick. Head Coach
Marissa O'Neil was named NESCAC Coach of the Year.
Massari becomes the first player since 2018 to be named a First Team selection and garners recognition for the first time in her career. Massari led the Polar Bears with nine goals and 12 assists. The senior recorded a staggering +11 for the season and added 20 blocked shots. Massari recorded a pair of power play goals and one short-handed goal. The senior had two game winning goals. Despite playing in all 24 games, Massari managed to stay out of the box and recorded only two penalties all season.
Emma Merrill was named Second Team All-NESCAC for the first time in her career. The defender was fourth on the team with 12 points off four goals and eight assists. Merrill was +3 on the season and scored one power play goal and a pair of game-winners. The defender had 18 blocked shots.
Coach
Marissa O'Neil was named Coach of the Year for the second time in her career. O'Neil earned the award in 2012-13 as the Polar Bears took home a NESCAC Championship that season. O'Neil's team earned the fourth seed for the conference tournament, just a year after finishing eighth in the conference. The Polar Bears swept Colby for the first time since 2014-15, Trinity for the first time since 2011-12, and Williams for the first time since 2012-13.
