Track & Field Posts Strong Results Despite Mixed Weather in Massachusetts

LOWELL, Mass. – Bowdoin track & field shows strong depth despite wintry mix at UMass Lowell Invitational.

Meet Highlights

Noah Rockey won the 400m with a time of 50.37 and set a Division III New England qualifying time.
Bowdoin finished in the top two spots in the 1500. Oliver Brandes won with a 4:03.78, followed by Seamus McDonough (4:06.58).
The Polar Bears took the top four spots in the 800m. Will Goddard (1:55.76) led the way followed by Matthew Servin (1:56.92), Lars Sorom (1:58.34), and Aidan Singer (1:58.90).
Bowdoin's 4x400 relays took the top three podium spots. Singer, Calvin Klupp, Sorom, and Brandes finished first with a 3:30.24.
Ben Bockmann (9:52.66) and Addison Davis (9:54.05) picked up second and fourth in the steeple chase. The pair also recorded New England qualifier times.
Astrid McGuire was Bowdoin's sole winner on the women's side with a first place finish in the 800m (2:19.54). Kaylee Hale finished second with a close 2:20.90.
Bowdoin's 4x400 relays finished second and third. Francine Miller, Catherine Uwakwe, Audrey Stevens, and Hale finished in 4:21.86.
Uwakwe finished second in the 200m (26.92), and Emma Randall-Jarrard did the same in the 400m hurdles (1:09.77).
Sophie Maguire put up a 2.95m jump in the pole vault for second place. Julie Kane had a similar result in the long jump (5.15m) and reached a New England qualifying distance. Juliette Coley jumped into second in the triple jump (10.21m).
