MEDFORD, Mass. – The Bowdoin track & field team is sending six athletes to the Indoor Nationals following the conclusion of the regular season at the Tufts Last Chance Qualifier over the weekend.
The men's DMR of
Matthew Servin,
Adepoju Arogundade,
Oliver Brandes, and
Will Goddard solidified their spot at nationals.
Kennedy Kirkland will compete in both the long jump and 200 meter dash, while
Kane Demers will also race the 200 and 60 meter hurdles.
Meet Highlights
- The DMR improved their season-best time by five seconds to place fourth at Tufts and secure a nationals spot.
- Demers finished third in the 200 to improve his rank to 23rd in the country and third at the meet.
- Kirkland also sits 23rd in the country in the 200 and narrowly missed out on the victory at Tufts after race results came down to the thousandths of a second.
- Kirkland added a win and new school record in the long jump, improving to 12th nationally, with a 5.78.
- Ian Stebbins won the pole vault with a 4.76 meter jump.
- Julia Kane (11.13) and Omar Frostman (13.93) both moved into fourth all-time at Bowdoin in the triple jump.
