BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's track and field team placed second at the 2025 Maine State Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday at Farley Field House. The Polar Bears picked up a pair of award winners in the meet, where they totaled 197 points, just behind first-place Bates (206) in the eight-team field.
 
Meet Highlights

• Kane Demers was named the Field MVP of the meet, claiming the long jump (6.85m) and triple jump (13.94m). For good measure, Demers also won the 60 hurdles in a meet-record time of 8.47 seconds and the 200m in a state and facility record time of 22.09 seconds.
• Will Goddard claimed the Track MVP award with a pair of first-place finishes, taking down Coby Horowitz's field house record in the mile (4:11.53) and also winning the 3000 meters (8:37.94).
• Bowdoin's team of Ronan O'Flaherty, Jonas Varnas, Joseph Phillips, and Adepoju Arogundade won the 4x400 relay event in a time of 3:25.25.
• The Polar Bears also boasted a number of runner-up showings on the track, including Ronan O'Flaherty in the 400m (50.84), Oliver Brandes in the 800m (1:54.29), Matthew Servin in the 1000m (2:32.85) and mile (4:13.48), and Seamus McDonough in the 3000m (8:38.80).
• In the field events, Ian Stebbins was second in the pole vault (4.75m), and Omar Frostman El-Hmaini finished right behind Demers in the triple jump at 13.75m.
