BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College field hockey team had a trio of players named All-Conference by the New England Small College Athletic Conference in year-end awards announced on Tuesday.
Junior forward
Emily Ferguson (Shrewsbury, Mass.) collected First Team honors. Classmates
Clara Noyes (Lexington, Mass.) and
Maddie Mrva (Shrewsbury, Mass.) both earned Second Team recognition.
Ferguson paced the Polar Bears with 11 goals this season and was second in the conference for regular season goals scored. The junior forward also led the way in assists for Bowdoin with eight helpers and topped the conference for the regular season. Ferguson tallied three game-winners.
Noyes and Mrva controlled the midfield for Bowdoin and both started every game for the Polar Bears this season. Mrva tallied three goals and six assists, including one game-winner. Noyes put away a pair of goals and recorded four assists.
Bowdoin returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2021 and earned hosting rights to a first round game against Scranton on November 12.
